Why We Rebranded

Why did Habibi Please rebrand? Founder Mohamed Farid shares the thinking behind the evolution from a product-focused brand to a SWANA cultural lifestyle brand—and why this next chapter is about...

By Mohamed Farid, Founder of Habibi Please

When I launched Habibi Please in 2023, I wasn't trying to build another clothing brand. I wanted to create products that reflected the cultures, stories, and identities of the SWANA diaspora—products that felt like they belonged to us.

Over the past three years, I realized people weren't connecting with Habibi Please because of the T-shirts. They were connecting with what they represented: belonging, pride, nostalgia, and the freedom to express who we are without explanation. The brand had grown beyond fashion.

That's why we rebranded.

Not to become someone new, but to become more honest about who we've been all along.

Today, Habibi Please is a SWANA cultural lifestyle brand. We design products inspired by our region's craftsmanship, traditions, and contemporary culture—creating objects people can wear, use, collect, and live with. Every product is an opportunity to celebrate our culture, support our creatives, and tell our stories on our own terms.

This rebrand marks the beginning of a bigger vision, but our purpose remains the same:

To build products that celebrate SWANA culture—not as a trend, but as a way of life.
